How To Launch Your NFT Project With No Coding Experience

Want to get started as an NFT creator but you’re not sure how to do it? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Wagmi.tips has a list of all the tools you’ll need to launch your own NFT collection and make minting NFTs a breeze – best of all, no coding experience is required!

No-Code Tools For Launching Your Own NFT Collection

Table of Contents

Step 1: Generate Artwork Without Coding (Or Drawing!)

Option 1: Nifty Generator

To launch an NFT project, first, you’ll need artwork. Let’s look at how Nifty Generator works first, then we’ll look at what you could do if you don’t have much drawing experience.

The Nifty Generator requires just a few things – image layers of different traits and the appropriate metadata for your blockchain. However, before you get to this, there has to be some pre-planning – how many layers (traits) do you want in your project? How many NFTs would you like to mint? Which traits are considered rare in your collection?

Once you have decided on these details, simply arrange your assets into folders of the different traits, import all your assets to the platform, and it automatically generates the images for you. While Nifty Generator is free to use, generating collections of over 1000 images is a premium feature. This is fair, considering how easy they’ve made this entire process! Among other premium features include support for GIFs and a shuffle tool which allows you to shuffle collections together.

Option 2: Bueno Generator

With the Bueno Generator, you can create thousands of NFTs in seconds. Their seamless, no-code process will show you how to organize and upload your layers to get started.

You can play around with rarity and trait rules until you like what you see. Check the art with as many previews as you like. Then when you’re ready, just download your tokens and metadata, and that’s it!

With the Bueno NFT toolkit you’ll also get access to Forms to run surveys, email collection, and build your pre-sale lists to make sure you are hooked into your own community.

Bueno is full of powerful tools you need to build the most expressive NFT project possible. Check it out here: https://www.bueno.art/nft-generator

Hmm, but I can’t draw“, you might say. Not to worry, stay tuned as we discuss how you could outsource tasks that you can’t do on your own on platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork.

You might also want to check out alternatives to Nifty Generator and Bueno Generator such as NFT-inator.

Step 2: Build NFTs Without Coding

Rampp

That’s right, you do not need to know how to code in order to launch an NFT project. Rampp is a service that generates the necessary code for your smart contracts so you will not need to hire a developer and you will still be the owner of your project.

They’ve made the process really simple. First, link your Metamask to Rampp – that’s it! Not even an email is required at this stage. Head on straight into creating a new project!

Next, you’ll have to set up your images and the metadata on IPFS. Don’t worry about the NFT images or IPFS either! We’ve discussed art generators that have created the artwork you need. At this point on Rampp, simply follow the instructions to create an account with Pinata, upload your images and add metadata. If you used Nifty Generator to create your artwork, the metadata will be created for you.

The next step is to create your smart contract. Fill in your project information and set royalties. At this stage, you can choose to have your project on either the Ethereum or Polygon chain. In this guide, we’ll go with Ethereum, but it should be noted that launching on Polygon can potentially save you money in the long term. Add your Ethereum wallet address, which is where you will receive your payout. Bear in mind that Rampp takes a 5% fee for every contract with a mint fee while the rest goes to you.

Now, you’re close to being live. We recommend that you deploy on a test network such as Rinkeby. There is a button option for deploying to Rinkeby. Simply follow the process, switch your Metamask wallet to the network, and you can have a dry run of deploying your project on the test network. Find and double-check the details of your smart contract on the blockchain – now you’ve verified that your transaction has successfully gone through!

At this stage, you should do all the testing you’ll want to do before launching your project for real. Get familiar with how the blockchain works on this end of things. When you’re ready, make sure your wallet has ETH and then you can finally deploy to the Mainnet! It will appear just like it did on the test network before.

So your smart contract is up and your NFTs are all waiting to be sold. Now you just need to put your mint button somewhere easily accessible for buyers. We recommend Typedream for making websites, which we’ll also cover later in this guide!

Before committing, it would be wise to look into alternatives and compare what services are offered. Here are some alternatives to Rampp which allow you to build an NFT project without coding:

Step 3: Build A Website Without Coding

Typedream

If you used Rampp, you would’ve also seen that they too recommend Typedream for building a website without coding. You can start out with a free account and it’s straight into building your website from there! Choose the Web3 template and start building with an NFT Minting page.

They’ve made it extremely easy to build a website from scratch without needing to know any type of code. You really just need the NFT Minting page, but we do recommend that you include some marketing fluff explaining what the project is all about. Check out our guide about successful roadmaps, which will definitely help you sell your project!

From the homepage, select the Rampp x Pinata page to set up your mint button. Typedream has a detailed guide on how to set this up, so we will not go into further detail in our guide. Essentially, you need to add an embedded widget to your website – you can get this embed code from Rampp, which you simply paste into Typedream. That’s it! This is probably the most coding you’ll ever do if you follow our guide.

Now you have launched your contract, generated NFTs, and you now have a minting page!

Of course, there are tonnes of other ways to build your website! They may not be built specifically for NFT creators, but they each offer additional features, such as advanced SEO tools and useful plug-ins. Here are some alternatives to Typedream you could consider:

Step 4: Launching on an NFT Marketplace

OpenSea

OpenSea is currently the largest NFT marketplace and it has made it easy for NFT creators with no coding experience. Their lazy minting option has allowed NFT creators to easily mint without paying gas fees for deploying on the blockchain, that is, until somebody buys an NFT.

While our guide has covered easy ways to provide smart contracts, it’s also possible to mint on OpenSea without one. However, the platform requires new users to pay a one-time fee the first time they mint. Simply connect your Metamask wallet, create a collection, fill in a couple of basic details about your project, and then add items to your collection. Hit create and you’re done!

If you are using Rampp to launch your minting website, a collection will automatically be created when the first NFT is minted, in which you can then go and edit the details of the collection on OpenSea.

If you don’t feel like doing all this work, you could also simply outsource this to someone else, as we’ll discuss below.

Web3 Media Management And Hosting Tool

Pinata

Earlier on, we mentioned Pinata which is a tool we used on Rampp to manage our media and upload them onto IPFS. There’s so much more that you can do with Pinata too! Essentially, it is a tool to create and share Web3 content in a fast, easy, and secure way. This means that you can also gate specific content to be accessed by only NFT holders, which means that you can easily create value for your NFT holders with exclusive content!

Through Pinata’s feature called Submarine.me, you can add files which can only be unlocked by a person who has an NFT. This creates so many possibilities as you’re not just limited to images! If your project is music-based, you can share exclusive content to NFT holders, such as a teaser for a new song or the raw files to a piece of music they are allowed to sample in their own projects. It’s time to get creative here!

What you would need to accomplish this is a Professional Plan account on Pinata. This gives you access to create a Gateway which can be restricted to just NFT owners. From here on, the same steps for launching your project are the same. Deploy on the testnet Rinkeby to test things out. You’ll need your contract address, fill in a couple more details, and then add your exclusive content. Now we’re done!

To test on the Mainnet, you could mint one of your own NFTs and try to access your own Submarine content. If your wallet is connected, you should be able to access the exclusive content.

Outsourcing Work

If there’s any aspect of this process that you lack the knowledge or time to do, you can simply outsource the work to experienced freelancers on Fiverr or Upwork. Here are some examples of tasks offered by freelancers on either platform which require specific knowledge and are being offered at competitive prices.

  • Design and generate NFTs
  • Manage Opensea
  • Setup Discord server
  • Create smart contracts
  • Build website
  • SEO

Conclusion

So, do you need to be a coding expert to launch an NFT collection? As we’ve explored in our guide, it seems that you don’t. You just need to invest a little money and time to be able to pull this off successfully without any coding experience. It starts with the artwork, which can be outsourced on freelance platforms. Then, by using a generative tool such as Nifty Generator, you can very quickly put a collection together. Platforms like Rampp are invaluable to creators and they have simplified the entire process greatly, with great support and detailed guides. Typedream has made creating a minting page a 15-minute process, too. With your launch on OpenSea, the success of your project falls on your marketing abilities.
