Justin Bieber

In January 2022, Justin Bieber bought his first BAYC for $1.3 million, immediately grabbing the attention of the mainstream media. However, this ape does not have any rare traits and people are still wondering why it cost 3 times more than the floor price at that time.

Besides BAYC, Justin has ventured into various other NFT projects such as his favourite, the inBetweeners. This teddy bear NFT collection was designed by the resident designer in Drew House, his streetwear clothing brand. The project sold out quickly and even cracked OpenSea’s top 10 list at one point. I guess it’s safe to say that the Beliebers had a little something to do with that. At the time of writing, he still has his OG inBetweener as his pfp on his Twitter and Instagram profile.

Other notable NFTs in the Canadian Singer’s collection include Doodles, CloneX, World of Women, MNLTH, and MAYC.

The 4-time NBA champion then released a collection of 2,974 NFTs to commemorate breaking the all-time NBA 3-point record, the Genesis Curry Flow. These NFTs had a $333 price tag and were quickly swept up by Curry fans around the world. Holders of these NFTs will be eligible to receive NFT airdrops, in-person experiences, and other memorabilia in the near future. For starters, they can claim NF3 basketballs, which are worth 0.08 ETH to non-holders.

Along with Under Armour, the Curry brand is partnering with HAPE, CyberKongz, Smilesss, and Chibi Dinos to launch the Basketball Headz NFT collection, a series of avatars linked to real-time performance. The NFTs come in the form of a serum, which transforms into a Basketball Headz NFT when mixed with an NF3 NFT.
