Introduction To Yuga Labs And Their Metaverse Events
Yuga Labs, the company behind the renowned Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT, has developed a metaverse project called Otherside. This virtual world aims to create an ever-evolving experience where players hold the world, NFTs become personalities, and numerous players can play together in real-time. The First Trip and Second Trip events are part of the Voyager’s Journey, allowing participants to explore and interact within the Otherside metaverse.

Second Trip Event
The Second Trip event was designed to offer an even more immersive and interactive experience for participants compared to the First Trip. The event took place on March 25th, 2023, and included several new features, such as guest codes for Otherdeed holders to invite friends and an expanded capacity to accommodate more participants.
During the Second Trip, participants were divided into four teams, each led by notable captains, including Jimmy Wong, Brycent, Lowbellie, and Champ Medici. Although no official details of the competition or objective were released beforehand, it was understood that users needed to work together with their captains to succeed.
The event started with a blob-collecting contest, where participants gathered blobs for giant toads, earning points for their respective teams. Team Glacial, led by Jimmy Wong, emerged as the winner, with each member receiving a “Winged helmet” airdropped to their wallet.
Following the contest, participants were transported to a Bone environment Otherdeed, where Bored Ape Yacht Club mascots Curtis and Blue guided them on a tour. The tour, however, was cut short when a BoneLand Dragon attacked, forcing participants to be sucked back to the Infinity Space.
The Second Trip concluded with a message from Curtis and Blue as several vessels flew overhead, signifying the end of the event. This left the participants excited for the future of the Otherside metaverse and eager for more events and developments.
